For over 30 years I have owned and operated Heartwood Flooring in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally focused on fine arts, cabinetry/furniture refinishing, and specialty paint finishes, my passion for fine woodworking led me to the craft of hardwood flooring. My training reflects hardwood flooring’s rich Western European heritage and I have combined this with today’s modern tools and materials to provide an inspired melding of old world quality in harmony with the latest technological innovations. Since my early apprenticeship in the trades, I have always taken an artisan approach specializing in unique installations, custom finishes, and an expansive palette of color and application options. Being a “boutique” hardwood floor company we bring a unique expertise and understanding of color, texture, and finishes. In addition, we are green building certified and take great pride in delivering a finished product that is both aesthetically beautiful, functional, and ecologically sound.
